Note – It was Reuben who talked the brothers into putting Joseph in the cistern. He had secretly planned on returning later, to release Joseph. But, while he was away, Judah talked the brothers into selling Joseph into slavery.
Moral of the Story – Be careful about going along with the crowd openly, but secretly planning on undermining them later. Their may not be later in which to undo a bad deed in the future? Truthfully, I hate surprises?! So, either choose to speak now? Or, forever hold your peace. Is my motto…
Additional Note – It was Simeon in the Temple at Jesus’ circumcision, who said; “Sovereign LORD, Now let Your servant die in peace, as You have promised. I have seen Your Salvation, which You have prepeared for all people. He is the Light to reveal God to the nations, and He is the Glory of Your people Israel!” (Found in Luke 2 NLT)
